Kevin and Megan Rainear have been involved in missions work in Uganda since 2011. What began as simply being members of short term mission teams has grown into a passion to serve the Lord and the local Ugandan church through practical ministries, evangelism and discipleship. After living in Uganda for a brief time, the Rainears learned some hard truths about mission work there and the difficult, but essential, task it is to work only with ethical organizations.  Kwagala Missions was born out of that struggle.

The Rainears have been married for 25 years and have 4 children.   Kevin graduated from The College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Liberty University.  He owns his own business and loves leading teams to Uganda, golfing, and hunting with his sons. Megan earned her degree from Elon University and is a homeschooling mom and avid crafter.  She loves Uganda more on each trip she takes!

All of our work is done with local churches and missionaries because we believe that short term missions efforts are always most effective when they are partnered with stable, local ministry that can continue the work after the team returns home.

Our goals are simply to love people in the name of Jesus through our actions and help to fulfill His great commission. (1 John 3:18 & Matthew 28:19-20). We do this in a variety of ways by providing conferences at local churches, pastor’s training, women’s and children’s ministry, hut to hut evangelism, orphan ministry, and prison ministry; as well as providing medical services, water wells, school fees for children, and other basic necessities to those in need.

We need prayer partners and volunteers who will go and serve on short term teams, as well as financial donations in order to continue this missions work. We also need specific donations such as: Bibles, children’s care package bags, small toys, candy, craft supplies, school supplies, toiletries, and baby items.
